Chinook’s Edge respectfully honours the life and legacy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Flags at our schools and offices will be flown at half-mast until after the funeral service and all official portraits of Her Majesty in schools and division offices have been draped in black for the mourning period.
As outlined in this message from the provincial government, an outdoor commemoration service will take place at the Alberta Legislature on September 19 at 10:00 a.m. This service will begin with a moment of silence, which all schools and offices in Chinook’s Edge will observe at that time. The service will be live streamed at the link above, and our schools may choose to have their students and staff watch the ceremony.
